On Monday, the management and works council of Spaleck GmbH & Co KG handed over three donation cheques with a total value of 5,000 euros. Ingrid van Aalst from the Bocholt-based association Child Care Afrika e.V. was delighted to receive half of the donation, which will be used to set up its current school project for children aged 11-15 in Togo, Africa. Sebastian Schröer from the association Jugendhilfe und Soziale Integration, jusina e.V. for short, was also visibly delighted with the donation of 1,250 euros. Schröer: “We will use the money for cultural and leisure activities that will benefit children and young people from needy families in Bocholt. It is a valuable help for our planned program in 2018.” The Bocholt-based Family-owned business is donating a further 1,250 euros to the CED-Helferkreis Bocholt (formerly FAMI), represented by Roswitha Beckers, for an educational project in the slums near Calcutta in India.
Michael Wolf, Chairman of the Works Council at Spaleck: “The education and support of children worldwide is the key to a better life. We are delighted to be able to support specific aid projects in Bocholt as well as in Togo and India.” In addition to the cash donation, Spaleck is also providing well-preserved, termite-resistant company furniture for the African school project.
