The third in-house SPALECK blood donation campaign was very well received, with a record turnout of almost 90 of our approximately 250 Bocholt employees.
Andreas Wittkopp, SPALECK employee: “I donate blood regularly because I think it’s important and I also have a very rare blood group. Our team campaign helps to make even more people aware of the importance of donating.” This year’s campaign attracted 14 first-time donors.
The donation was again carried out in cooperation with the Blood Donation Service West of the German Red Cross. The service had traveled from Münster in a special blood donation bus. Dr. Ernst Hundeshagen, accompanying physician of the DRK: “The willingness to donate at SPALECK is enormous. The campaign is really fun and shows that it works well organizationally within the company. We will be happy to come again.”
After donating blood, each donor was catered for by the Bocholt DRK association in the company’s own SPALECK health center. This meant that all participants were able to resume their work strengthened after the donation. We would like to thank the team from the blood donation service and the local DRK association for their great support.
